The National Council for Research, Technology and Innovation (NCRTI) consists of fifteen (15) internationally renowned members, in their respective fields, who come from the research, academic and business fields of the country or abroad while one (1) representative of the Union of Greek Researchers also participates. The members of the NCRTI are nominated by decision of the Minister and Deputy Minister of Development. The term of office of NCRTI is three-year (3 years) renewable. By the same decision, the Chair and the Vice-Chair of the NCRTI as well as the employee of GSRI who performs the duties of Secretary, and his deputy, are appointed.
NCRTI is supported by the Sectoral Scientific Councils (SSC).
