The National Council for Research and Innovation is the supreme advisory body of the State for the formulation and implementation of the national policy for Research, Technology and Innovation. The Council is appointed by and reports directly to the Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The Council’s secretariat is provided by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology.
The National Council for Research, Technology and Innovation (ESETEK) is the highest advisory body of the State regarding the formulation of a national strategy for Research, Technology and Innovation Development (ETAK). ESETEK supports in its work the Minister or Deputy Minister for Research and Technology (hereinafter “Minister”) and the Secretary General for Research and Innovation (GSRI) in all relative matters.
